How do I register my domain name?

Register your domain name to send your emails from your professional address (for example [email protected]) instead of a generic address.

Adding the domain

  1. At the bottom left, click Settings, then My account.

  2. At the bottom of the page, find the Authorised email domains section and click Add a domain.

  3. Enter the domain name to register and confirm. It then appears in your list of authorised domains.

At this stage, the domain is not yet verified: Smovin needs proof that you are the owner before allowing emails to be sent from it.

Verifying the domain

Click the domain name to open the configuration. Two options:

  • You manage your DNS: the records to add are listed in a table. Add them with your domain manager.

  • You don't have access to the DNS: click Send the instructions and enter your IT person's email address, who will receive the steps to follow.

Once the configuration is done, click Re-verify the configuration. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect; Smovin also re-checks your configuration daily. When everything is correct, the domain appears in green with the Verified label.

You can then send your emails from Smovin using an address on your domain.

To disable this connection, click Delete the domain.
