In order to be able to send e-mails from a domain name that you own, you first need to configure it on Smovin.
Let's suppose you are the owner of the domain smovin.io. Go to your account settings and scroll down the page until the you see the section Authorised email domains. Click on the button Add domain.
You will be asked to provide the name of the domain you want to verify on Smovin. Once this is done, you will see you new domain listed.
Please note that your domain is not verified yet, meaning that you are not able to send e-mails with that domain from Smovin. In order to verify the domain, we need the proof that you are the actual owner of that domain. When clicking on the domain in the list, you will have access to the necessary information in order to configure your domain with Smovin.
You can now finalise your configuration in two possible ways:
You are familiar with DNS configuration. Head to your DNS host and add the 3 DNS listed in the table.
You are not familiar with DNS configuration or do not have access to your DNS host. No worries, we got you covered. Just click on Send setup instructions and provide the e-mail of your IT person in order to send him detailed setup instructions.
Once the configuration is done, you can manually verify this configuration by clicking on Recheck configuration. The changes in DNS configuration can take up to 24 hours to be effective, be patient. Smovin will recheck on this configuration on a daily basis.
Once your configuration is verified by Smovin, the green label verified will be visible next to your domain name.
