How to indicate partial VAT on the rent of a commercial and/or civil lease?

Some leases have rent that is partially subject to VAT. Indicate this specific detail so that it is reflected on your rental invoices.

Start by creating a new contract or modifying an existing one.

In the Rent section of the form, it is possible to add a 21% VAT (BE) / 20% VAT (FR) on the rent.

By default, the entire rent is subject to VAT. If you want to apply VAT to only part of your rent, click on 'Customize VAT' in the grey box that appears below.

You can then distribute the VAT as desired and name each part of the rent subject to a different VAT rate. These names will appear on your rent invoices.

⚠️ Don’t forget that the total must add up to 100%.

Click on Confirm to validate your VAT distribution.

💡 You can customize the VAT applied to the base rent and the variable rent. It is not possible to customize the VAT rate applied to provisions and charges.
