What is the purpose of setting sending preferences?
Configuring your sending preferences is useful for:

  • Automatic sending of communications (indexation, payment arrears, and rent receipts). This allows you to specify the sending method and recipients.

  • For bulk sends, your sending preferences will be applied.

By default, all communications are sent via email to all tenants of the contract (as indicated in Smovin).

How to proceed?

From your account settings, select Communications on the left side of your screen.

You have a view of all communications between the owner and tenants. For each of them, you can view a sample of the standard content and configure:

  • A preferred sending method: SMS, email, letter, or registered letter

  • The recipient(s): main tenant, all tenants, or the guarantor. If the main tenant is a company, the communication will be addressed to the principal representative.

If you selected email as the preferred sending method, you can add a contact person in Cc or Bcc.

⚠️ Please note that this person will be copied on all automatically sent emails and all bulk communications, if applicable.

You can then, if needed, customize these rules at the contract level by clicking on Add an exception. This is useful only if you do not want to apply the general rules to this contract. **Then choose the contract and configure:

  • The sending method

  • The sender (By default, the owner or the representative of the owning company)

  • The recipient(s)
