The total balance of the contract
At the top of the contract page, you can see the tenant's balance.

How is this balance calculated?
The balance corresponds to the difference between the expected amounts from the tenant and the payments actually received.

If the balance is:

  • 0: Everything is in order, the rent has been paid correctly.

  • Negative: Your tenant is in default of payment.
You can easily identify the amounts that have not been paid by looking at the details in the balance section.

  • Positive: Several cases are possible:

    • Your tenant has paid the rent in advance. The issue will be resolved in the coming days.

    • You owe money to your tenant, for example, after adjusting charges. Don't forget to add an outgoing payment once the refund is made.

    • You received an exceptional payment from your tenant (e.g., for a spare key or a security deposit). Don't forget to add the corresponding amount due (to be received) to keep the balance accurate.

Tenant Balance Details
The amounts due are listed here by month. A color code helps quickly identify their status:

  • "Not received" (in red): No payment has been received for this amount.

  • "Received" (in green): The payment has been received.

  • "Partially received": Only a partial payment has been received.

📌 If a payment couldn't be automatically reconciled with an amount due, an alert message will appear at the top of your screen. However, don't worry, the payment has already been accounted for in the overall balance.
