What happens if owners or tenants are not yet on PEPPOL?

Smovin automatically checks whether the business tenants and owners are registered in the PEPPOL network in the moment you activate the option.

You can see all the statuses in the settings page of the electronic invoice.

Every company can have a different status based on the activation state in the Peppol network; all the statuses are:

  • Active – The company is registered in the Peppol network and able to accept e-invoices.

  • Not registered – The company has not yet registered in the Peppol network.

  • Error – There is an issue with the system of our Peppol access point partner. We are aware of the problem, and our technical team is already working on it.

We will contact you via support as soon as possible. We apologize again for the inconvenience.

  • Pending activation – The company has registered in the Peppol network but activation is still pending. Synchronisation may take a few hours.

If the owner or the tenant is not registered, then it will not be possible to send any document via the PEPPOL network in Smovin. But the invoice documentation will still be sent to the recipient as usual via another channel.

However, if your customer subsequently registers with the PEPPOL network, you can manually choose to resend them via Smovin, since the electronic invoicing module was activated.
