What happens if owners or tenants are not yet on Peppol?

Written by Pauline Marchand

Smovin automatically checks whether business tenants and owners are registered on the Peppol network at the moment you activate the option. You can see all the statuses in Settings → Electronic Invoice.

Each company can have a different status depending on its activation state on the Peppol network:

  • Active — the company is registered on Peppol and can receive electronic invoices.

  • Not registered — the company is not yet registered on Peppol.

  • Pending activation — the company has registered on Peppol, but activation is still in progress. Synchronisation may take a few hours.

  • Error — there is an issue with the system of our Peppol access point partner. Our technical team is working on it and will contact you via support as soon as possible.

To send a document via Peppol, both the owner and the tenant must be registered. If either one is not, sending via Peppol is not possible: the invoice is still sent to the recipient via another channel, as usual.

If your tenant registers on Peppol later, you can manually resend the invoices already created in Smovin via the network, since your electronic invoicing module will already have been activated.
