How do I cancel an indexation?

Have you run an indexation and need to undo it? You can cancel it, then redo the task.

In which case?

Every year, Smovin offers to index your rent on the anniversary of the contract's start date. If you then need to correct the indexation amount (for example after discussing it with your tenant, or because the notification letter hasn't been sent yet), you can cancel the indexation and redo it.

Steps

  1. Go to the relevant contract page.

  2. Open the History tab: there you'll find the contract's full history, including rent changes due to an indexation.

  3. Find the "Modification of the contract's financial values" card, click the "…", then select "Cancel this change".

  4. Once the indexation is cancelled, the task reopens: you can restart the process and adjust the necessary details.
