When should you do it?
Smovin suggests indexing your rent each year on the anniversary of the lease start date.
If you want to change the indexed rent amount after discussing it with your tenant, or if you forgot to send the indexation notice, you can cancel the indexation and restart the task.
How?
Step 1: Go to the contract page concerned.
On the contract page, under the "Activities" section, you'll find all pending tasks as well as the full contract history, including rent modifications due to indexation.
Step 2: Cancel the indexation in the contract history.
From the card titled "Modification of the contract’s financial values", click on the "..." and select "Cancel this modification."
Step 3: Restart the indexation
Once the indexation is cancelled, the task will reopen, and you can restart the process by adjusting any necessary details.
