How do I modify a contract?

Modify your contracts sparingly: Smovin generates rents from the information you enter. A change can therefore affect the calculated amounts.

Changes with no impact on calculations

  • The contract's current end date.

  • The bank account into which rents are paid.

  • The rental guarantee details.

Changes to make carefully

  • The lease type → ⚠️ end-of-contract rules differ by type (see What are the end-of-contract rules?).

  • The initial rent → ⚠️ it is used to calculate indexation. Changing it may distort indexations.

  • The current rent → correct only in case of an entry error. If the rent was indexed or reassessed, use the dedicated process (indexation or reassessment).

How to modify

  1. From your dashboard, click the Contracts tab, then the relevant contract.

  2. Click Modify.

  3. Make your changes. ⚠️ Save each section before leaving it, otherwise the changes are lost.
